This classic 1940 film, based on John Steinbeck’s Pulitzer-Prize winning novel, will be shown in correlation with the exhibition 1934: A New Deal for Artists, showing this winter at the MMA. In the film, Tom Joad’s family crosses the Dust Bowl of Oklahoma to the promise of a better life in California (128 mins.). Admission is free and open to the public.
