Learn the basics of acrylic painting with award-winning professional artist Missy Morrow. The advantage of acrylic is that it dries so fast, but the difficulty with acrylic is that it dries so fast! Learn easy ways to use the acrylics wet palette technique and never have to worry about your paints drying on the palette again. Learn how to create an acrylic painting from start to finish. You will finish one 8x10 inch painting in class. The class will also cover basic color mixing techniques (including great tips for creating beautiful muted and neutral tones) and proper brush cleaning. The instructor will demonstrate techniques. Please bring reference photos, a cookie sheet, and any brushes you would like to use. Additional brushes, acrylic paint, and canvas board will be provided.
