Free Family Fun Day at the Muskegon Museum of Art

Explore and celebrate the rich heritage and culture of the many Native tribes that are a founding part of Michigan.  Free admission and activities.

Hoop Dance ​Performance​
Come join us as we learn about and watch a performance of Native American Hoop Dancing.  Marci Romanelli (Little River Band of Ottawa Indians) will share the history and significance of Native American hoop dancing and her children – Marshall (age 13), Sophia (age 12) and Magnum (age 9) who are members of the Gun Lake Hoop Dance Society will perform. Marci and her children represent multiple Native American tribe​s​ in Michigan; their knowledge and demonstration​ reflect ​their cultural and heritage.​
