Edward Curtis North American Indian Exhibition Draws Record Visitor Numbers

The Muskegon Museum of Art’s exhibition Edward S. Curtis: The North American Indian has drawn over 30,000 visitors from 47 states across the U.S., District of Columbia, and from 27 other countries in the since its May 11 opening. Attendance numbers are the largest of any exhibition held at the MMA. We thank all our neighbors from the area close to us and to the guests who included the Curtis exhibition and the MMA in their travel plans. It has been our honor and pleasure. More…


Open Tuesdays through Saturdays 10:00am to 5:00pm, Thursdays 10:00am to 8:00pm, and Sundays noon to 5:00 pm. Closed Mondays.  (The Museum will be closed September 11-18, 2017, for exhibition turnaround.)

GENERAL ADMISSION: $10 Adult, $8 Seniors 65+, Students 17 & older: $6 (with school I.D), Children 16 & under: Free, Museum members: Free

Muskegon Museum of Art Executive Director Judith Hayner has announced plans to retire later this year, in the fall, after 14 years in the top leadership position at the MMA. The Museum Board and staff will host a public reception celebrating Director Hayner on Thursday, September 21, from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.
