Your Museum membership guarantees free regular admission, reduced admission for most special events, 10% Gift Store discount (15% on the 15th of each month), reduced class and workshop tuitions, the opportunity to join volunteer committees, and advance notice of all events, programs and exhibitions through mailings of the Museum Newsletter, calendars, and announcements. Starting at the Friend membership level, you also receive reciprocal membership privileges in 11 selected Michigan art museums, which can include free or reduced admissions and merchandise discounts. And, your membership provides vital financial support for programs, exhibitions, and general operations.

Museum Affiliate Groups
MMA Members may also join one of the museum's two affiliate groups:
- The Friends of Art: This study group meets weekly from fall to spring and presents a variety of guest speakers and.
- West Shore Graphic Arts Society: Presents a varied schedule of programs, events, and activities for members who are interested in works on paper, from prints to photography.

Festival of Trees
Help make this popular holiday happening even more spectacular in 2006. Volunteer to serve on the year planning committee (231/720-2573), as an event volunteer (231/759-7592), or to design a tree (231/780-1160).
Museum Gift Store
Would you like to receive a 15% discount (more than the regular members’ discount) at the Gift Store? Volunteer as a cashier. Hours are flexible. Training is provided. Volunteers receive this special discount off their purchases on the days they work. Call 231/720-2580.
New Docents
New docent training sessions meet on Monday mornings starting in September. Learn how to guide tours and about the Museum’s collection and exhibitions. Call 231/720-2587.
Upstairs Reception Desk
Enjoy the ambiance of the marble hallway and being surrounded by art as you welcome visitors and collect tickets at this “sit-down” task. Shifts are scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Call 231/720-2574.
Regional Exhibition Entry Registration
