Volunteering

The MMA volunteer corps is essential to Museum operations. Volunteers lead school tours, make Super Saturdays “Super,” help get the mail out, answer the phone, provide clerical assistance, greet visitors, serve in the gift store, and organize the library. If you are interested in volunteering at the MMA, please indicate your areas of interest and fill in your contact information below. The volunteer coordinator will contact you to arrange an interview time.

Volunteer Requirements

• Current Muskegon Museum of Art membership or current Muskegon Public School employment
• Must meet with the volunteer coordinator and, if applicable, other supervising museum staff
• Fill out a Volunteer Information form
• Submit information for criminal history background check
• Complete required training for chosen assignment area (provided by MMA)
